Hicth 2012 - Day Twenty, Home

I had to get up early to get to my flight on time, and the hotel had called a taxi the night before so he was waiting outside the hotel for me, which made it a lot easier. It took about an hour to get to the airport, and then I had to wait for another hour and a half. Some guys from the party the night before were at the airport too, but I was so tired I'm sure my conversation skills were pretty shit. The flight was pretty uneventful, and it took me the rest of the day to get home. I was so exhausted, as soon as I got home I spoke to my family for a few minutes and then just went to bed.

Hitch was one of the best experiences of my life, it was amazing to see the types of people that were willing to pick you up, and how easy it actually was to hitch-hike. Seeing different countries in that way is totally different to the standard route of public transport, and the people we met could give us an interesting incite to the cities they knew so well.
Morocco itself was incredible - it was so dirty and dusty and yet so much culture. Despite occasionally feeling like I was in a bit of danger, and constantly feeling like people were trying to rip me off, I actually loved the constant arguments over money, and feeling like I could stand up for myself.

If anyone has the opportunity to do Hitch I would strongly recommend it. It's got to be one of the most unique experiences of my life which I'm sure I'll remember forever - AND it's all for a good cause!

I can't think of anything better than that...
